The most popular GPS device manufacturer, Garmin, has once again churned out a new series of portable GPS devices, perfect for people on the move. There are plenty of GPS models on the market. Therefore, Garmin has modified an already great product and made it slimmer, sleeker and cheaper with a whole lot of features. The Garmin nuvi 1200 is the end product. In fact, it is so thin, you can easily slip it in your pocket. The nuvi 1200 has been praised for its simplicity and efficiency. It gets you to your destination much faster than many other GPS models as it makes use of HotFIx satellite technology. Another new feature is the ecoroute, meaning the GPS directs you to the most fuel-efficient route. This is great if you are looking for ways to go green and if you want to save money on fuel! These are just 2 of the many fantastic features this tiny device packs. On a whole, it is great value for money both for motorists or tourists who require an electronic map with a dozen extra features.

The Garmin Nuvi 1350T is a reasonably affordable, full-featured, ad-supported portable navigator from Garmin. It is almost twice as expensive than the nuvi 1200. The 1350T has basics, plus a slightly tweaked interface that improves on the old Nuvi experience without changing it too noticeably. It’s faster than even the higher end Nuvis and has a streamlined main navigation screen. This model can bring to you streams of information via a cellular data connection—on demand. The only setback will be that nobody is willing to pay for a separate cellular connection to get traffic (and local search) data, because they already have phones that serve the same function.

Lastly, the garmin nuvi 1260t is an improvement from the 265t. It has identical features to the 265t, with the exception of the optional cityXplorer maps. Its revised pedestrian mode provides routes that also incorporate buses and subways. The most unique advantage this model has over its counterpart 265t is the form factor. It is lighter, thinner and sleeker with a refreshed user interface and enhanced pedestrian mode. Hence, unless you will be using this as a tourist walking around in an unfamiliar city, the cheaper 265t will be a better choice.
